China and India are gearing up for the next phase of their ongoing discussions regarding border issues, as they prepare for the 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks on the Boundary Question. This development was confirmed by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun during a regular press briefing held on Tuesday.
Guo highlighted that both nations remain in active communication concerning border matters and are making efforts to implement agreements reached in their last meeting. These talks are part of a broader strategy to manage their border disputes and ensure stability along their shared frontier.
Coinciding with these preparations, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is currently in New Delhi, where he is participating in the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. While in India, Wang met with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday, further underscoring the ongoing diplomatic engagements between the two countries.
The spokesman emphasized that the situation along the China-India border remains stable, with effective communication channels facilitating dialogue and cooperation. Both nations are reportedly working to implement the consensus achieved during the 24th round of discussions, reflecting a commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
The forthcoming talks are expected to build upon previous discussions, as China and India continue their efforts to manage border issues and strengthen bilateral relations. The focus remains on ensuring that both sides adhere to the agreements made to prevent any escalation of tensions along the border.
