UAE Streamlines Passport, Visa Services with New Direct Appointment System

Date:

Indian diplomatic missions in the United Arab Emirates have implemented a new system for passport, visa, and attestation services, allowing applicants to schedule appointments directly via an official online portal without incurring a booking fee. This initiative aims to streamline the application process, enhance efficiency, and eliminate unauthorized service charges.

Now, the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai are managing consular services directly from their offices. This change means that all appointments for these services must be made exclusively through the designated online portal. Indian nationals in the UAE are urged to avoid paying any individuals, agencies, or intermediaries that claim to book appointments or provide expedited services on behalf of the missions.

The missions have issued a warning against trusting any entities or representatives alleging to be officially authorized to provide appointment services. Those who suspect they have been overcharged, misled, or falsely represented are encouraged to report such incidents using the official contact channels of the Embassy or Consulate.

For travelers and Indian residents in the UAE, relying solely on official communications and verified platforms for information regarding consular services is advised. This precaution is essential to avoid falling victim to fraud and incurring unnecessary charges.
