PM Modi Hosts Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi in India for Annual Summit

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has begun her three-day official visit to India, marking a significant step in enhancing diplomatic relations between Japan and India. Her visit includes participation in the 16th India-Japan Annual Summit with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where discussions will focus on bolstering cooperation in crucial areas such as trade, investment, defense, technology, and regional security.

This visit is particularly notable as it is Takaichi’s first official trip to India. The summit serves as a platform for both nations to assess the progress of their Special Strategic and Global Partnership, which underscores the depth of their bilateral ties. Prime Minister Modi expressed his pleasure at hosting Takaichi, highlighting the importance of their dialogues in further strengthening the relationship between the two countries.

During the summit, both leaders are expected to engage in extensive discussions aimed at expanding collaboration across various sectors. Modi emphasized the significance of continued cooperation in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.
